What is Elevate exactly?
Elevate is a fitness-centric social network that revolves around helping health-conscious individuals log their gym workouts and diets by powering users’ cameras with futuristic patent-pending technology. We believe this tech will become the gold standard for consumers to track their daily fitness goals, minimizing 90% of the typing and tapping on a phone screen that is required to log them. We are building this new camera-utilized segment of digital fitness by leveraging various aspects of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Why is there a Beta Tag on Elevate?
We’ve been building Elevate for over a year, and we felt it was important to finally put Elevate in your hands. Elevate will continue to grow and improve over the coming years, and right now we know everything isn’t perfect. We are continuously improving our gym equipment and food scanners but we will still get things wrong sometimes. During this Beta period, we are hoping to get as much feedback from you, the user. What can I scan with Elevate?
Currently, you can scan 4 things with Elevate:
- Gym Equipment.
A user can scan gym equipment in any gym, and Elevate will identify what that equipment is, and what exercises you can do with that equipment.
As of launch, Elevate can scan the following gym equipment:

- Food Items.
The food scanning technology we utilize combines artificial intelligence and machine learning to recognize, categorize and analyze over 5,000 global food dishes.
- Barcodes
Most barcodes of any food item or beverage
- Fitness & Nutrition Words
Word Recognition can be used if you want to scan a gym equipment word, for example: treadmill or bench press, as well as any food word, for example: plum or pancake. Scanning these words will give you the ability to log these specific items in a workout or your daily log.
What can I do with the microphone on my camera screen in Elevate?
This is our Audio AI assistant, Ellie, that helps you log things with voice commands.
Examples:
Saying the phrase: “I just ate a Banana” will automatically pull up the nutritional data of a banana and allow you to log it into your daily log.
Saying the phrase: “I just ran 2 miles” will automatically pull up the activity of running 2 miles along with an estimated calorie burn and allow you to log it in your daily log.
Saying phrases that include gym equipment or exercises will directly take you to a screen where you can log those gym-based exercises.
How can I edit my profile?
On your profile screen, below the follower counts, there is an ‘Edit Profile’ button where you can edit your personal information, username and Bio.
What does Elevate do with my Data?

Why does Elevate ask for my phone number when signing up?
When you sign up for Elevate and use our services, we may collect certain information from you, such as your phone number.
Elevate may use your phone number for different purposes, such as:
- Account verification and two-factor authentication
- Two-factor authentication is an optional security feature to verify that it’s really you when you log into your Elevate account! This helps make your account more secure 🔐
- To contact you
- Elevate may send SMS messages to send you information about your account (e.g., suspicious account activity alerts, unopened Chats, pending friend requests, and more), updates about Elevate products and services, and other useful info
- To help you and your friends find each other
- Please Note: This will only occur if you allow access to your contacts
- Advertising
- Elevate may use your phone number to help personalize and measure ads for you
- Other uses in line with our Privacy Policy
